The Fall Protection industry requires webbing to meet strict performance standards of the governing body. Sturges Manufacturing specializes in developing custom unique designs and products to meet and exceed this demand, including high-performing body harness webbing and straps for use in fall protection systems.

Safety webbings are rigorously tested in our test lab, which is capable of dynamic drop testing with free falls up to 25 feet. Performance requirements are monitored through SPC from lot to lot to assure product consistency.

SRL webbings are available with a proprietary treatment to improve color retention and prevent twisting upon retraction. SRL webbings are produced in custom widths and thicknesses to fit the design of the retractor.

All arc flash products meet ASTM F887, verified by third-party testing. Exclusive designs are available, as well as stock arc flash webbings with low minimum order levels. Alternate fibers are available to reduce cost while maintaining performance.

Sturges custom Arc Flash Harness webbing can be woven to meet specific performance, design, and branding needs and can be woven in various widths to fit custom-designed fall protection hardware.


Our Energy Absorbing Webbing dissipates energy and limits the deceleration forces a worker experiences during a fall and relies on webbing elongation to absorb fall energy. We continuously test our Energy Absorbing webbings in our test lab.

To ensure the SRL webbing fits in its housing, custom widths and different thicknesses are an option to allow for longer lifelines.
Our abrasion cycle testing process ensures maximum longevity of the webbing inside the SRL unit.

Sturges weaves a variety of patented tear webbings to regulate the force in Leading Edge applications. We’re proud to offer Leading Edge webbing and traditional lanyard webbing for Leading Edge situations in place of cable.
